Fantastic property
It was private and spacious in a great location so that you didn't notice the busyness of Wanaka. It was pet friendly which was appreciated. Well stocked and supplied.

Exactly what it says on the tin - an authentic Kiwi Clutha Crib
This was a clean and tidy holiday house,
with space for our ski gear. Short walk to the beautiful river, and manageable drive to Cardrona and TC ski fields. Kids could run around the flat lawn outside. Well equipped and set out kitchen (like all similar properties could do with a couple of medium sized sharper knives - otherwise heaps of great cooking gear). Big wood burner - warmed up the house quickly (didn’t see a CO2 monitor or smoke alarms - something to consider). Nice comfy mattresses, and lots of spare bedding. Warm shower, great washing machine and dishwasher. We didn’t need the electric blankets. No internet - which was actually refreshing! We would stay here again. Nice outdoor bean bags for star gazing and reading books. The retro furniture was well loved. A comfy, easy and authentic family holiday house.

Clutha Cutie
We enjoy the "down home" aspect of the cottage. It is super comfy and we don't have to be super precious ( but are careful) about how we treat it. Access is great for loading and unloading ski gear and the fire and ample firewood is just perfect. These aspects are
why we are return visitors.
Access to the river walking and bike trails is perfect for non-skiing days.

Great family holiday
Nice warm family home, fantastic fire and great location! Home contained everything you could ever need with plenty of off road parking for boat. Heaps of room for kids to ride bikes, play backyard cricket and being able to bring dogs was great. River walks and fishing at your door step. Would love to stay again. Thank you

Plenty of space inside and out for relaxing, parking the boat, and playing family cricket. It has a homely ambience with everything required for cooking or barbecuing. We highly recommend this holiday home.

We had a great stay! The house was well equipped with everything we needed and we really enjoyed having the fire place. The house was well stocked with great firewood, only small comment was that the firewood was quite big and there was no axe to cut it up (we borrowed one from a friend).

Thanks for you feedback Jeremie. There has always been an axe at the property but perhaps it has gone missing. I will make sure to check replace if required.

Excellent location next to the walking track which was perfect for us and the dogs.
Very homely, the fire pumps out the heat so the house was quickly warm in the evening.
Great sunny spot, very relaxing and would certainly return.

Great house and grounds. Albert Town is the perfect location - away from the hustle of Wānaka but an easy drive there, if you need your hospo fix, or want to travel beyond to climbing crags or the mountains. Easy access to walking and biking tracks alongside the river. And the patisserie just down the road is world-class.

We had a fantastic stay at the Clutha Country Cottage, there's plenty of room and everything was super clean & tidy - even the fire was ready to light when we walked in the door! The kitchen was fully equipped & it was very handy having a separate laundry & clothes drying racks for our ski gear. The shower is great & we never ran out of hot water. Super close to Pembroke Patisserie, within easy walking distance just down the road, which was a real treat! Plus Albert Town isn't really that far from Wanaka itself, so the location is brilliant and close to Three Parks for New World & BP. Thought the Eco Store products were a great touch. Highly recommend Heather & the Clutha Country Cottage!

Short stay near Wanaka with family.
Nice comfortable home. Great log burner that kept house super warm and logs just outside house so very easy to collect. Very well serviced with everything that we needed. Close to great walks and Wanaka and in a lovely quiet location. Only downside , there is no wifi. Most properties now have wifi.

Clutha Country Cottage review
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Loved being away from all the busyness of Wanaka township itself. The Clutha river was a short walk away with great swimming for Tess (dog) and us. Walks and Mountain biking trails are right here too. Great spot if this is what you enjoy doing too. A boundary fence would be beneficial for dogs rather than a long chain/kennel. Also WiFi needed at this property.

Great bach. Heaters in the bedrooms would make it perfect.
Very good bach with fully equipped kitchen. Lack of heaters in the bedrooms was a bit disappointing at the beginning but got used to it. You just need to keep all the doors open during the night to keep the house warm from the wood burner. WiFi would be a great addition too.
