Heathers place was fabulous- love DC the v layout with two bedrooms rooms on one half the house and main bedroom on other half. Very large space to gather in the middle. Very well stocked kitchen. Great patio, beautiful views and close to restaurants, pubs, bike shops and bus. Easy to get right into town, you do have a good pitch up the street getting back, but there is a big set of public stairs you can take to make it easier. Beds very comfy. Heather was very quick to respond and proactive regarding info about the property. Definitely recommend staying!!

Don't let the photos fool you- we thought we were booking a little cabin and were so pleasantly surprised to check into this extremely spacious, beautiful home! The generous sized living room was so appreciated when some rainy weather kept us indoors with our toddler. The home was immaculately clean, particularly the bathrooms which were very modern and looked brand new. It was a 5 minute walk to town (1 little hill or a staircase to get there), so a very convenient location. There was a lovely view from the large deck. The only thing to mention is there is an internal staircase leading to a garage (not for use). It's probably stated in the listing but we missed that so just had to be cautious with our toddler. You can close off the living room so it wasn't a big issue at all. Heather was extremely communicative and a great host. Thank you for having us! We would definitely return.

It was very spacious and clean. It was very cold when we were there and the heating worked great though in summer I think the bedrooms could get very hot as they don’t have air conditioning. Also it was close to town. All AirB&Bs I have been in previously leave a starter pack of milk and teabags etc. which after a long drive would be really helpful but apart from that it was excellent. I would definitely recommend Heather’s place.

a fantastic home, a short walk from the centre of Wanaka. the home is bigger than it looks in the photos - large living area for a 3 bedroom home. Kitchen was fantastically appointed with everything we needed and more. we were plenty warm enough in the middle of winter with the two heat pumps.

Heather was very communicative and the house was extremely spacious and clean. House came with some secret amenities on top of the ones that were mentioned and the whole experience was very impressive. Town centre was walkable distance and there is a clear view of lake Wanaka. If you're in the South Island of New Zealand please visit this small town, the sheer beauty will leave you speechless.

What a great house. A large, modern, beautifully built home with views over the lake and mountains and only a 5 minute walk to the town centre and lake. Really well set up with good facilities. And the price was very good in comparison with other places on our trip. Would definitely recommend. Only one small hiccup with the cleaners still there when we arrived (which was after the agreed access time).

We are a group of 5 friends who stayed at this air bnb. It has a lovely balcony and view of lake Wanaka. The living room is large, as is the master bedroom. This place is a very handy location, being a 2-minute walk to restaurants and cafes, and a 6-minute walk to lake Wanaka. We would recommend this place.

My favorite AirB&B so far. Great location, quiet spot by a park, but also a very short walk to an awesome downtown and lakeside park. Home had two beautiful bathrooms, which was a nice. Everything was clean and well furnished. Well stocked and clean kitchen too. Enjoyed relaxing on the large deck with nice view.

We were very comfortable in this spacious house. Kitchen was very well equiped and the bedroom and bathrooms at opposite ends of the house worked perfectly for two couples. It is an easy walk to the shops and eating places around the lake.

One of the best holiday rentals we have ever stayed in. Less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of Wanaka. The property was very clean and as a new build, everything is in great condition. Amazing views and in a very quiet location. Heather was quick to respond and also very flexible with check-in, which was very much appreciated. Wanaka Holiday Homes was incredibly responsive and helped proactively address and resolve an unforeseen issue at this rental property during our stay. We realized that it is SO worth booking through them to ensure a high standard at a quality rental property. It was beautiful, well equipped, all new pans, every appliance and gadget you could think of in the kitchen, huge TV, big windows for lots of light and nice views, walking distance to town/lake. The main room, bathrooms and master bedroom were larger than I expected from the photos. The A/C didn’t quite reach into the bedrooms, so they were a bit warm at night if you weren’t able to cool the rooms down before dark. (The mosquitos were a bit ferocious when we tried leaving the windows open at night.) Again, massive thanks to Wanaka Holiday Homes for helping address and resolve the hiccup we encountered at this property.

the property is good and spacious and located very close to the town. convenient to everything in Wānaka. there are only 2 things drop my satisfaction. first, the bed size seems not a king but a queen. some of the applicants are not clean, hair dryer, towel, cookers etc. but overall is good. I will rate 8 out of 10 and if those could be improved, surely will come back again

Couldn’t have asked for a better place for a family of 6 adults. Super clean and all the amenities you’d want and need. Location is perfect with a lovely lake view from the huge deck and so close to town that we could easily walk down the stairs into town for coffee or a meal. Can’t think of anything more we could need or want in holiday accommodation- maybe a pack of cards or some board games if we wanted a break from devices or tv - but we’re really scraping to find something lol. Would def stay here again.

Well what can we say.... We loved our stay here. We are a family group of 4 adults and 2 teens. The house is beautiful, spacious, well equipped, clean and modern. We ate in one night and found everything we needed in the well equipped kitchen. The views from the veranda were stunning at any time of day but esp at sunset with pink skies over the water. Shower water pressure was a little low. Parking is road side, but we didn't have an issue at all during our stay to get one. The location of the house is very close to the town center and the waterfront, 5 to 10 mins walk down hill (the road to get onto the road where the house is VERY steep). We recommend Bombay Palace for an Indian, ate outside with views over the lake, very enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again should we return to Wanaka.

This house had all the wonderful amenities and then some we could hope for in our 6 night stay in Wanaka. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was comfortably furnished. The biggest highlight was all the wonderful windows and sliding glass doors of the home. We especially loved how the master bedroom was set up with sliding glass doors on both sides of the room so you can open both up at the same time to get a nice cross breeze while relaxing in bed. The only thing we recommend for the doors and windows are screens to keep the bugs out, but it wasn’t too much of an issue. We loved waking up to the beautiful view of Lake Wanaka and New Zealand’s unique bird sounds. The shower and heated bathroom floors didn’t hurt either! We would love to stay here again whenever we are able to return to New Zealand and Wanaka!

We were so surprised on arrival - the pictures do not do this house justice. Home was very clean and great layout for 3 couples. Generous size in all rooms and kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely book again. Our only criticism (small) is that more mirrors were required, especially when it is for couples or families with older children, as there were only two mirrors in both bathrooms and when you are getting ready in the mornings they take too much time because there is only the one mirror. There is plenty of room in each bedroom, toilet or hallway for mirrors.
