Fabulous home with Lake View
Fabulous house with an awesome view out to Lake Wanaka. Spacious, nice furnishings, great bathrooms, quality bed linen and comfy beds, washer/dryer, clothesline. Off street parking a bonus plus a garage. Bedrooms were extremely hot over night. We slept with the sliding door open. Rooms would benefit from either ceiling fans, air conditioning or similar. Beautiful home but quite pricey.

La Cachette was a beautiful house in an incredible location in Wanaka - easy to get to the lake, walk anywhere in town and a short drive to the mountains to ski/board. We loved frequenting the food trucks for dinner and the crepe stand in the morning. The scenery and view of the mountains and lake is stunning. Communication with Heather and team was smooth from the start with clear instructions and they were always responsive to our needs or questions. The guidebook in the house helped with anything we needed to know about amenities and the local neighborhood. 10/10 would stay again!

From the moment we checked in we felt right at home. Every aspect of the house and location was perfect for us. It is only a short stroll to the lakeside and all conveniences.
We chose to use the kitchen and eat in to make the most of our stay and there was everything needed. My wife enjoyed the laundry facilities as we were in need of some fresh clothes coming towards the end of our holiday.
View was incredible and furnishings were comfortable. The whole family loved the gas fireplace and comfy lounges, which we made the most of.
Very relaxing and comfortable stay.
We will most definitely be back!

Staying in Wanaka was beautiful and we really liked the house. It was modern, comfortable and very clean. It has a terrific view to the lake and mountains.

We loved our stay! Perfect for our Spring ski trip - right in Wanaka town, quick drive to Cardrona. The house was great for our family of 6, with plenty of space and separate living space and TV for the kids. The kitchen and bathrooms were spotless and the living room was lovely and spacious and very cosy with the heat pump and gas fire place. We will definitely stay here again!

Thanks for the feedback. We provide tea towels, dish soap, dishwasher powder, laundry detergent, shampoo. conditioner, body wash and hand soap in both bathrooms. Sheets and towels are also provided. I have checked with my staff and they assure me this was all provided.

La Cachette is a great place to stay in Wanaka. It has a great set up with bedrooms downstairs and living area upstairs to make the most of the view of the lake. Nice balcony to chill out on. Very modern and spotless. Also short walk to the town so can leave the car behind for eating out.

Great Wanaka Stay
As a family of 5 this house suited us well. Great separation with bedrooms down and living up. Lots of room for suitcases when you are bringing ski gear. Very warm house with great heating and plenty of sunshine through the big windows. Boot dryers were a great touch. Would love to have a few more kitchen utensils as we don’t like to go out to eat every night after big days on the mountain. A few basic pantry staples would be good too. Very little option for us but to go out and get everything. Overall the house was in a good position with easy access to the Cardrona Road and a short 5 - 10 min walk to any of the shops/cafes on the waterfront. The only thing that would make this position better is if the house was in the next street so the view would not be built out. Also the instructions for the TV and Netflix were actually wrong in the house manual. Heather the manager, was very helpful in helping us figure that out. Overall a great stay.
