Majestic Mountain View Retreat

The apartment is located in a calm and good neighbourhood and the furniture, kitchen and bathroom are still pretty new and in perfect condition. Everything was really clean, which is something we appreciate, so we felt comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The place is very well-equipped, cozy mattress, several pillows and nice balcony. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would book it again.

The apartment is in a great area right outside the center of town. The place is very nice, well equipped and conveniently located. Bed was super comfy and kitchen was well equipped. I would definitely stay here again.

Here is the English translation:\n\nAfter I checked in, I found that the bed was covered with a lot of hair. Even after I cleaned it myself, there were still many tiny hairs that couldn’t be removed. I tried contacting the 24‑hour management hotline, but no one answered. The overall hygiene condition was not good enough.

There was no after hours call to us. The place was spotless, I checked the clean myself. It was their own hair on the bed. They were trying to get a free stay. Shame I can’t upload a photo of all the hair they left behind, and all the rubbish.

One of the best Airbnb I have had the pleasure of staying in - 10/10 cleanliness and well equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable and having two toilets/shower was a bonus. Location was a short 8 min drive to Wanaka - couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Excellent value.

Beautiful home with a wonderful host who responded quickly at 10PM when there was a town-wide electricity outage, provided assurance as well. Well worth the price considering there was 2 BRs and a fully stocked kitchen.

Of all the places we stayed in New Zealand over the course of two weeks, this was our favorite! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay in Wanaka. The apartment was spacious, impeccably clean, and the decorations and furnishings created a sleek, modern atmosphere. The kitchen was very well-equipped, so much so that we made our breakfast and dinners here every day. The bedroom had the most comfortable bed and the bathrooms were huge. The ability to do laundry right in the unit was an extra perk. The main part of town and all the activities we did in Wanaka were very close, never more than a 30-minute drive. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood for exercise. It was very peaceful and quiet. The views from the apartment, even inside, are magnificent. A great place that we hope to stay in again when we come back to New Zealand!

Great place, good location. Not ideal with babies tho. There are 3 doors to get in the apartment, and stairs. Other than that the apartment is lovely. I got very upset that I notified that the window blind in one of the rooms just fell off on its own, we saw it when we got back to the apartment after a day out. I asked my family to not touch so I could take photos etc it looked like it had been damaged before and they’ve just done a quick fix in it. However, I was told that it didn’t look like it happened by itself and instead someone had pulled it out hard. I honestly have no patience for this kind of accusation especially being super busy with a 4 month old baby with us who had to be moved out of that room because it was too bright at night.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The location is outside the main town, but still a very short drive. It was nice to be able to spend the day in the town or the surrounding area and then come back to our more private space at the end of the day. It was also located above a convenience store which was super nice. We would stay here again if we ever visit again.

A super comfortable, brand new home. Big & spacious with really high quality amenities, 2 big and comfortable bathrooms and a very large and well equipped kitchen. It has a nice seating balcony with view of Iron mountain, and can can actually do this short hike directly from the apartment. It is located at Lakeside, which is 10 min. drive from Wanaka town center. A big plus if you don't like the bustle of the town and prefer a quitter location. The only thing to note is the apartment is on the second floor of a commercial building. It has a nice grocery store right below (a big plus) and the neighborhood bar/restaurant across the street. But if you are looking for a house with a garden, this is not it. Overall will highly recommend.

The apartment was lovely and located in a new area of Wānaka about a 5 minute drive from town. It was quiet, comfortable, well equipped and very clean. Our only suggestion is that some shelves or drawers in the bedrooms would be helpful as there is only wardrobe hanging space. We would have liked to unpack more but had to keep using our suitcases.

There was no number on the apartment block which made it hard to find. Place was clean, tidy, modern and convenient. Bathroom door was broken which was unfortunate. Was surprised that kids beds were setup in the front facing room with the balcony and the adults were put into the back room.

Quite disappointed in this review. There is a huge number five on the front of the building. The twin beds are made up in the second bedroom as that is the room that does not have an ensuite. We were not aware that there was an issue with the ensuite bathroom door. We had not been made aware until the guest had departed otherwise we would have had someone to fix it straight away. It is a new build and still under Builder’s warranty. Note there are two bathrooms and this was not the main bathroom.

This place felt luxurious compared to other places we stayed in. Everything was modern, clean and new and the appliances and furnishings were high quality. The area is somewhat suburban, but nice and quiet. We loved the views to hills and mountains in all directions including from the balcony.

We loved our stay at the majestic mountain retreat. We visited from Australia for a wedding in Wānaka and the apartment was perfect for a small family. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable, shops were close by, views are beautiful, check in was very easy and we had all the amenities we could need. I don't think I can even begin to describe how much we enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb. Located 10 minutes from the Wanaka town centre, it was close enough that you felt like it wasn't a chore to get into town, yet far away enough from the hustle and bustle to completely wind down, disconnect and relax. The photos look exactly the the apartment did in real life. Hello Ranger - the cafe/ eatery downstairs was very handy for the nights when we got home late from adventuring and the on-the-spot convenience store was handy for those last-minute forgotten things (toothbrush!!). The New World supermarket on the outskirts of town definitely had cheaper prices and ask for the tourist discount card if you are from anywhere else. This Airbnb will always hold a special part in our memories as we got engaged while staying here. I could not recommend this stay enough. We will 100% be back, hopefully very soon.

The unit was just as described! The check in was a little confusing. The buildings do not have numbers in the area so the key was in a concrete structure across from the stop and go. The email said to look for a concrete building not a concrete structure. After traveling 20 hours we were a little rummy and ask some people leaving a restaurant to help us find the building. Once we realized it was the concrete structure that also housed the trash and recycling it was easy. A picture of the structure in the email would be helpful. The upside was that we met some really nice people!

The unit is exactly as shown in the gallery. It is new, clean, modern, beautiful, and very comfortable. The peaceful out of town location and the nearby Hello Ranger cafe are also one of the many things that we like about the place. We had difficulty locating the unit to check in however as the GPS only stopped short at the junction and the street number was just nowhere to be seen. For the benefit of future guests, the unit is exactly on top of the ‘On the Spot’ supermarket and the key lockbox is on the side of the building in the car park area. We loved our time in the unit and would recommend it to other guests ;-))

Great communication with host and they were very kind and accommodative when family got sick with Northlake and late check outs. Apartment location is in Northlake so close drive to amenities but not walkable. Convenience store below and great Pilates below. Apartment is new and owners responded to defects quickly. Could be better equipped in the kitchen but otherwise had a great stay.
